Christine Dawn Senior (Anderson) - Class of 1987
Role in the BCI Knights 50th Reunion Committee: Chair, because there's a sucker in every crowd. No, seriously, Peter Mansell did an amazing job of getting the concept off the ground and just wanted someone to organize and lead. It's an absolute honour and pleasure to run with his original plan and to collaborate with the amazing team of people who love their school! Each decade is well represented on the committee and the current staff and students are invested in making this an extraordinary series of events for everyone.
Best high school memory: I honestly loved high school (even the dramatic parts) and especially Bluevale because of the variety of experiences that is available to students -from Moods to Outers Club to Sports to Cheer and more. The '80s was an awesome decade in that the ideas of diversity, equity and inclusion really started to take hold - through music, within social groups, and society in general.
Worst high school memory: Still having that recurring nightmare of being late for class/exam because I forgot the combination to my locker lock. A giant pimple just before yearbook pics or a dance. Is it just me?
What I'm looking forward to at the Reunion: Hugs. Even pre-pandemic I was an avid hugger and with any luck, by June 2022 hugging will be back in the list of safe activities. I'm also looking forward to the sights and sounds of people reconnecting, sharing stories and laughter. I'm already working on my fitness (the elusive last 10 pounds) and really hoping to not develop a giant zit two days before the events (refer back to worst high school memory).
