Lisa Lynnette Cassaday (Handley) - Class of 1987
Role in the BCI Knights 50th Reunion Committee: Chair, because Christine talked me into it...like several things we did in high school! Hahaha. On a serious note, I love planning events (it would be the dream job) and I love this school, so it was really easy to say yes. I will say being so far away from K/W does present challenges (I live in Renton, Washington) but technology helps! I am honored to be a part of this committee with such amazing Bluevaleites!
Best high school memory: Everything...from friends to Moods to System 4 and performing. Also, being the only American in class and having to learn everything. From Canadian history, geography, a new way to spell and let's not forget the metric system (yep, I was the girl in class that didn't know what a prime minister was or what a province was or even what the metric system was... and for the record, neighbour and colour DO NOT HAVE the letter u) but I learned!!!
Worst high school memory: There were a few things...but I think the end was the worst. Moving back to the US to attend Arizona State University and leaving my friends, my community, my school and a country I came to love very much.
What I'm looking forward to at the Reunion: Reconnecting with all my amazing classmates and teachers, laughing, reminiscing and enjoying being with people again. And...Tim Hortons & Swiss Chalet - seriously.
